United Against Racism
Les Abattoirs is mobilizing and organizing a day dedicated to the fight against racism
True to its commitment to inclusion, accessibility, and welcoming all audiences, the institution reaffirms its role as a place for dialogue, reflection, and culture open to society.
Building on the ongoing initiatives already undertaken by Les Abattoirs—such as participation in Pride Toulouse or hosting the associations Rencont’roms nous and the women of the Espoir association—this event will feature highlights focused on information, sharing, and awareness-raising.
It will bring together dedicated local stakeholders to engage with the public and provide keys to understanding current challenges in the fight against discrimination. Featuring a program combining a round table, short films and video screenings, a choir, open-mic slam poetry, and various stands and children's workshops, Les Abattoirs hopes this day will resonate deeply with its visitors.
Access to culture for all lies at the heart of Les Abattoirs' mission. Through this initiative, the museum reaffirms that cultural spaces must serve as bulwarks against rejection and levers for collective empowerment.
