Sunday 21 September, during the afternoon

The artist Naomi Maury will be at the ‘Saint-Lys Radio’ museum that afternoon as part of her exhibition ‘Baignez dans la lumière’ (Bathe in the light).

In the museum's temporary exhibition hall, Naomi Maury will offer the public a performance entitled ‘Sieste sous halos’ (Nap under halos): the exhibition will be transformed to offer visitors an immersive sound nap lasting 10 to 15 minutes, every hour. Everyone is welcome to bring their own cushion or yoga mat to fully enjoy this unique experience (floor mats may be made available to the public by the municipal media library for this occasion).

Four sessions will be offered to visitors: at 2pm, 3pm, 4pm and 5pm. Each session is free but limited to a maximum of 12 people, with reservations required.

Baignez dans la lumière

Naomi Maury presents an immersive exhibition that explores the metamorphosis of the body and the relationships between humans, machines and living species. She also incorporates drawings and sounds related to interactions with MAS residents and caregivers, drawn from the art workshops she conducts at this facility from March to May 2025.

The artist thus continues her reflection on how machines can liberate bodies while promoting interdependence between species, rather than simple physical emancipation. She also addresses the impact of technology on bodies that are invisible and do not conform to productive norms. Light, a major component of her work, is at once symbolic, spiritual and therapeutic. According to Naomi Maury, ‘light captivates matter, creating an immaterial space that influences the unconscious. Light envelops us as sound frequency envelops us.’
