Les Abattoirs, Musée - Frac Occitanie Toulouse are delighted to open their doors to you for one night, free entrance. For this event, the institution has teamed up with Casa93Mirail to develop a collection of 6 creations inspired by works presented in the exhibition "Artists & farmers". Art, fashion, guided tours, workshops, carte blanche for Pride, and much more come together in a festive and inclusive setting, here's the program for this 20th edition of European Museum Night!

The evening program

6pm to 7:30pm:

Adults/children visit-workshop
A visit to the exhibition "Artists & farmers" supports plastic experiments in the children's workshop. Please reserve at reservation@lesabattoirs.org

Workshop visit to the children's library
Join us for a plastic workshop based on the world of "Artists & farmers" for 6-10 year-olds.

From 6pm to 11pm in the exhibition rooms:

Casa93Mirail x Les Abattoirs
Come and meet Casa93Mirail's eco-designers!
Around "Artists & farmers" exhibition, they present their upcycled creations resulting from a "textile dialogue" with 7 works of their choice.
Collaboration orchestrated by Naco Paris, fashion and textile designer.

From 6:30 pm to 11:30 pm, in the auditorium:

Carte blanche to the PRIDE Toulouse association!
"Gens genrés des champs" [gendered people form the fields]
Event proposed as part of the 2024 Season of Diversity.
For this carte blanche, Pride proposes to go out and meet people and genders in rural areas. Resonating with the exhibition "Artists & farmers", discover those who often fight alone: short films, documentaries, Drag des champs, rural readings...
After each artistic intervention, we invite you to share the difficulties, joys and anecdotes of this all-too-frequently forgotten population.
In partnership with the DIAM (Des Images Aux Mots) Festival in Toulouse.

At 7pm (duration 1h), in the exhibition rooms:

Guided tour in French sign language
Deaf mediator Loïc Ambert offers a guided tour of the Abattoirs exhibitions in French sign language.

From 7pm and 9pm (duration 1h), in the exhibition halls:

Guided tours
A tour guide will show you around the exhibition "Artists & farmers". Reservations required at accueil@lesabattoirs.org

Between 8pm and 9pm, in the exhibition rooms:

Spotlight on a work, 10 min/1 work
Art history students take part in a lightning tour, highlighting a particular work in the exhibition "Artists & farmers".

From 8pm to 11pm, in the creative space on the 1st floor:

Large-scale participatory fresco
Come together, adults and children, to imagine and draw your own eco-responsible world. A joyful, playful and creative moment to share!

At 8:30 pm and 9:30 pm, in the exhibition rooms :

Performance Signer Battre la campagne
The Danse des Signes company offers a theatrical, danced and signed performance inspired by the exhibition "Artists & farmers"

And throughout the evening:

Public gallery
De la lumière dans la boue [light in the mud] exhibition
In partnership with Queer Quercy 46/82 and Compagnie de Genres (C2G), an exhibition of photos by Lot photographer Nelly Blaya of the Rassemblement Rugby Quercy Féminin women's teams.

Live music and DJs in the museum courtyards
In front of les Abattoirs, SoundFari, a forerunner in musical mixes, gets you moving with a live DJ set featuring soul, hip-hop, funk and afro-beat.

At the L'Hémicycle restaurant, Latin music from Cuba to Brazil, the West Indies to Argentina, presented by Air Bus One, for a rich and tasty harmonic stroll.
