In Praise of the Landscape II

Housed in the cellars of a château overlooking the Canal du Midi, "In Praise of the Landscape II" offers a poetic journey through natural spaces and the imaginaries associated with travel.

The works explore the relationships between plants, territories and human presence, revealing at times the infinitely small, at other times the vastness of the landscapes traversed. Combining memories of places, the metamorphoses of living things and experiences of movement, the artists weave a sensitive narrative where observation, contemplation and fiction intersect, inviting visitors to rediscover the landscape as a space of transformation and wonder.

‘In Praise of the Landscape I’ and ‘II’ are two neighbouring exhibitions offering two complementary perspectives on the landscapes of the Canal du Midi: sensory journeys where contemporary art, heritage and the environment converge to reveal the richness and fragility of living things.
