Dialogue with Niki de Saint Phalle

On the occasion of the Niki de Saint Phalle monograph on the museum site, the Abattoirs, in partnership with the municipality of Villeneuve-Tolosane, a historical partner of the institution, are offering an exhibition of works from the Abattoirs collections in dialogue with "Niki de Saint Phalle. The 1980s and 1990s. Art running free".

The exhibition Dialogue with Niki de Saint Phalle brings together artists who are contemporaries of her or artists who can be linked to her commitments and concerns: Ben, Aldo Biamascano, Judy Chicago, Shawna Demsey & Lorri Millan, Esther Ferrer, Guerrilla Girls, Philippe Hortala, Dorothy Iannone, Jacqueline de Jong, Annette Messager, Yoko Ono, Niki de Saint Phalle, Daniel Spoerri, Maria Manuela Vintilescu.

A set of Nanas balloons as well as a film takes up the presentation of the exhibition Les Amazones du Pop at MAMAC.

The Abattoirs, Musée - Frac Occitanie Toulouse is a true artistic and cultural centre, developing a programme of exhibitions based on its modern and contemporary art collections in the Toulouse metropolitan area and the Occitanie region, thus responding to the fundamental missions of the Frac, which consist in supporting creation and reducing geographical, social and cultural disparities.
