The art in the courtyard
The courtyards of Les Abattoirs and the adjoining Raymond VI garden are home to a remarkable collection of works, extending the museum's galleries dedicated to both modern and contemporary art. Visitors are greeted on the forecourt by Fernand Léger's monumental ‘Fleur qui marche’ (Walking Flower), whose extensive collection of mosaics and sculptures line the museum's courtyards. Since 2000, the sculpture park has been gradually enriched with works by Franck Scurti and Franz West, also incorporating the garden that leads to the belvedere overlooking the Garonne.
