Following an invitation to take the artistic direction of Roberto Gerhard's opera The Plague, Dora García set about dissecting the Camus's novel La Peste, published in 1947. Disease appears as an allegory of the plague that is the unhappiness whatever its form, totalitarianism, fascism, war, the deprivation of liberty that leads to exile. Read more
