To mark the opening of the exhibition ‘Jean-Charles de Castelbajac. Imagination in Power’ at Les Abattoirs, an inaugural conference will bring together Jean-Charles de Castelbajac and Lauriane Gricourt, director of Les Abattoirs and curator of the exhibition. The artist will discuss the different dimensions of his multidisciplinary work, spanning fashion, art and music, which began in the late 1960s and continues to this day.
The exhibition ‘Jean Charles de Castelbajac. Imagination in Power’, on display until 23 August 2026 at Les Abattoirs, is conceived as a manifesto which, through a rich and immersive thematic journey punctuated by installations created especially for the museum, offers an initiatory journey into the universe of this unclassifiable creator.
The lecture will be followed by a discussion with the audience.
