Costa Gravas
Z (1969, 127 min) tells the story of the assassination of a pacifist MP, Grigóris Lambr1akis, in Thessaloniki in 1963 and paints a portrait of Greece in the 1960s. Directed 50 years later, Olivier Menanteau's film places this event in the current political context. The first is a thriller, winner of the 1969 Academy Award for Best Film, and the second is an artist's documentary.

Olivier Menenteau
Z, il est toujours vivant… (2017-2019, 32 min 42) puts the Greek filmmaker's film into perspective, inscribing it in the tumult of the present and recharging it with its extraordinary strength of political analysis of democracy.
