For its 4th edition, this year the art route is taking on a new form by presenting original outdoor works by artists linked to Occitania, of successful candidates of the call for projects launched in May. The MUC hosts the extension of the exhibition "Viva Gino. A life in art" currently at the Abattoirs with a complementary presentation around the Italian scene supported by Gino and Davide Di Maggio. For the first time, works acquired by Gino Di Maggio (born in 1940), an Italian collector who promoted artists who turned the international art scene upside down from the 1950s to the 1960s, are presented. This exhibition offers a real face-to-face encounter through a selection of works from the collection, compared with the menhir statues conserved in the museum. In a harmonic ballad in which, as Baudelaire pointed out in his Correspondances, "perfumes, colours and sounds respond to each other", his examples of menhir statues cohabit in a crossover look with the contemporary works on display.
