Sous la terre (Under the ground)

Festival at a local's home

The earth, an organic realm with invisible borders, sedimented with the entire history of a planet; the earth, an unfathomable journey buried in the imagination of humanity, its relationship with water, fire, depth, time, death and germination; the earth, the support of human activities: cultivated, occupied, divided, exploited, excavated, etc., the object of bloody wars for centuries and at the same time the theatre of ordinary life,

During the month of June 2024, seven artists in residence with the residents of Saint-Paul-Cap-de-Joux will take up these themes to create works in situ, which the public will be invited to discover in their homes on 5, 6 and 7 July. The festival will provide an opportunity for a unique encounter between the public, the works, the artists and the hosts, creating a new collective way of looking at the element "earth".
