Cransac-les-Thermes - Retour aux sources

Dialogue entre art contemporain et patrimoine

The exhibition "Cransac-les-Thermes - Retour" brings together works that reveal the healing and resilient virtues of nature and water, through the unique worlds of 14 artists from the Abattoirs collections.

The exhibition continues the work begun by artist Joëlle Tuerlinckx on the industrial history of Cransac, as part of the New Patrons protocol. Created in 2011-2013, "La Triangulaire de Cransac 'MUSÉE DE LA MÉMOIRE—PROPRIÉTÉ UNIVERSELLE' ®" is now an exceptional part of the local heritage.

In January 2025, the commune of Cransac, recognised as a spa town, officially became Cransac-les-Thermes. Echoing this news, which is essential to the history and identity of the municipality, the exhibition brings together works that reveal the healing and resilient virtues of nature and water through the unique worlds of 14 artists.

With the artists: Katinka Bock, John Batho, Olivier Debré, Jean Dieuzaide, Céline Duval, Éric Hurtado, Nata Levitasova, Marie Losier, Myriam Mechita, Martine Michard, Alzek Misheff, Kiki Smith, Romain Suzzoni, Maria Helena Vieira da Silva
