À table ! (Time to eat!)

The culinary world has long been a playground for artists. Dedicated to the simple pleasures of cooking and eating, reflecting our lifestyles, eating habits, consumption and exchanges, the exhibition presents a selection of works by some twenty photographers, painters and cartoonists from the 1960s to the present day, drawn from the collections of the Abattoirs and the Artothèque du Lot.

Exploring the importance of food in human existence, the first section of the exhibition focuses on approaches that revisit the links between gastronomy and the fine arts, while the second invites us to take a journey backwards, from the plate to the field and the ocean.
