This exhibition is exclusively devoted to fabric in all its many forms: woven, stitched, stretched, cut, torn, reinterpreted, embroidered, painted, shaped, and worn. Many works have been selected from the Daniel Cordier collection, which was gifted to the Musée national d’Art moderne – Centre Georges Pompidou and later transferred to Les Abattoirs. Creations from across the continents are displayed alongside works by contemporary artists. Read more

In the 1990s, Revue Noire was much more than simply a publication, it was a window onto Africa’s dynamic cultural scene. This exhibition revisits its new way of writing and introducing different forms of contemporary creativity from the African continent. It comprises a selection of artworks, and in particular, a panorama of photographs by African photographers, which demonstrates the range and various historical facets of African photography. Courtyards of les Abattoirs
You can walk in its courtyards of the Abattoirs as well as in the adjoining Raymond VI garden. They house a remarkable collection of 19 works, an extension of the museum's rooms devoted to both modern and contemporary art. Access from 12pm to 6pm from Wednesday to Sunday. Read more

Marion Baruch gives pride of place to her fabrics, free from functionality. Selected for their colour or material, the artist pulls these fabrics tight, suspends them, or stretches them, thus employing them as a backdrop for her reflection on the environment and overconsumption in the fashion world. The exhibition spans a period of time from the 60s to the 80s and builds on the artist’s questioning of herself as a brand. Read more
